INTRODUCTION
Our Luger Westwind 21 kit was purchased in 1971 while living in Plato, Minnesota. The boat was delivered in a large wooden crate in nine pieces. She was built in our garage and her first launching was in Lake Waconia, Minnesota late in that same year.
In 1975, the boat was moved to Grand Marais, Minnesota where she was sailed on Lake Superior for the next several years.
In 1981, she was sold to friends in the Grand Marais area and was later re-sold and moved to Lake Mille Lacs in central Minnesota.
